I run a small Search Engine Optimization site and had been using HTML for producing my sites for a number of years. Recently I registered some .info sites for 99c (could not resist)and hosted them with the company selling them. One of the features of their hosting was free installation of blogging software. After pondering my choices for a while I choose Serendipity and was surprised as how quickly the sites got high rankings for various terms.
My surprise led me to change one of my main sites, so I moved the news section called Royal Caribbean Cruise Newsline onto the Serendipity software and was amazed again by the speed of the rise in rankings. Shortly the home page aptly named Royal Caribbean Cruise followed and within a few weeks I now rank in the mid 30’s for the main search term.
Enough sounding my own trumpet, what I was seeking was advice from those that have used both Wordpress and Serendipity as which one is better? Does Wordpress give the same sort of results as Serendipity? Do I change or do I stay in Serendipity?
